Jamey snapped this one with his phone while Kya & I were unsuspecting. It is one of my favorite pictures. I am thrilled that Kya loves to read! She is at a level now, where she can enjoy good writing, and books that make her think!

July 4th!

We may have started a tradition of going out for breakfast on the 4th of July. I think this was the 3rd year we've done it!

4th of July Parade in Kailua

Last year we went to Kailua beach park early to watch the fireworks and it was amazing, but very crowded! This year we thought there would be less people and better parking if we watched them from the marine base. Parking was better, still a big crowd and the fireworks were too far away! Maddox was pretty disappointed~ We made the best of it, and I think Cams liked it better since it wasn't too loud :)

This is an awesome little secluded spot. I pulled over to check it out by myself the other day. Hiking down was a bit steep. Perfect place to relax & read a book~

It was about 70 degrees today! I was so excited...it's cold enough for HOT CHOCOLATE!

Kya's Turns 8? ~almost

Your eighth birthday is always a special occasion! Since Kya's is so OLD and RESPONSIBLE we let her have a sleepover this year :) but we had to have it early in January...because we are having VISITORS for the whole month of February! We started off with pizza for dinner...Kya requested a donut cake, and it was super fun and easy to make! Kya, Brenna, Hannah, Camilla, Maddox, Havyn & Lucy with sucker lips! We had some fun activites like painting their own masterpeices on canvas, the toenails,

at 9pm we winded down with a movie...Havyn was the first one out!
We had waffles for breakfast with berries, powdered sugar & whipped cream and opened presents.
