Byodo-In Temple

The Buddist Temple grounds are a lushly landscaped paradise nestled in a cleft of the pali and are home to wild peacocks and hundreds of really big Japanese koi carp. (these look big enough to eat your hand off!) The temple itself is built entirely without nails, crazy eh? Moroni bought a buddist bible for like $3. There is a cool bamboo forest with really fat bamboo shoots in the back near the restrooms/giftshop.
